Geist. 3 Minus Kit

The only protection new leather (0-3 yrs) or leatherette needs

The Geist. 3 Minus Kit is a complete leather care system designed specifically for new leather (0 to 3 years old) to clean, protect, and preserve the factory finish.

The system is ideal for modern pigmented leather, vinyl, PU, and synthetic leather commonly found in automotive interiors and furniture. The Rapid Cleaner lifts soil from the grain without harsh solvents, while the Dye & Friction Blocker forms an invisible, breathable barrier that helps prevent stains from clothing and reduces wear from everyday use.

Unlike traditional conditioners, the 3 Minus Kit focuses on protecting the original topcoat rather than altering it, helping maintain the natural soft touch, appearance, and durability of new leather. It does not add gloss, residue, or scent, ensuring the factory-fresh finish is preserved.

Designed in Germany and free from PFOA chemicals and nanoparticles, this system is the ideal first-stage care solution to keep new leather looking newer for longer.

Features:

  • Plant & algae-based cleaner – Rapid Cleaner gently lifts dirt and grime trapped deep in the leather grain
  • Prevents dye transfer – Dye & Friction Blocker helps block color from clothing and reduces staining from fabrics like denim
  • Reduces wear and friction – Dye & Friction Blocker creates an invisible layer that helps protect against rubbing damage
  • Keeps leather breathable and soft – Dye & Friction Blocker does not block airflow or change the natural feel of the material
  • Ideal for light-colored leather – extra protection where dye transfer and staining show most
  • No shine, no smell, no residue – leaves the original factory finish exactly as it is
  • Made in Germany, safe formula – free from PFOA chemicals and nanoparticles

Where does it excel?

  • Suitable for New (0-3 yrs) leather, vinyl, artificial leather, vegan leather, fake/faux leather, or pleather. Works for all leather colors.
  • Not suitable for absorbent leather like aniline, suede, or nubuck.

What is in the box?

  • (1) Rapid Leather & Vinyl Cleaner 500ml
  • (1) Dye & Friction Blocker 300ml
  • (1) Empty Foaming Bottle 150ml
  • (2) Large Sponges
  • (2) Cloths
  • (1) Leather cleaning brush

Directions:

STEP 1:

  1. For regular cleaning, spray the Rapid Cleaner onto a cloth and wipe the surface, or apply Rapid Cleaner using the foaming bottle onto a sponge to create foam and work on the surface from seam to seam, allowing it to lift the soiling from the pores for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Wipe off with a lint-free cloth.
  3. If needed, leave on difficult stains for longer.
  4. For deeper cleaning, scrub gently with the included leather cleaning brush and wipe off using a lint-free cloth or microfiber towel away from sunlight and heat.
  5. Extreme stains on vinyl and on color-fast leather can be treated with the cleaner and left for longer periods, several hours if needed, before working gently with the cleaning brush.
  6. Always test in a hidden area for color loss before cleaning. Poorly or old-recolored leather/vinyl paints can rub off when wet cleaned.

STEP 2:

  1. Spray the Dye & Friction Blocker onto a clean lint-free cloth and wipe evenly.
  2. Allow it to dry.
  3. For maximum protection, apply after every cleaning treatment or once every 3 months.

FAQ

Q: What damages the leather finish or vinyl?

A: Friction (sharp zippers, studs, rings, buckles), dye transfer from clothing (e.g. jeans), sweat, sand and dust, and very often harsh chemicals that are found in common cleaners (e.g. high pH or solvents).

Q: What is most important if I want to protect my leather to look new and stay soft longer?

A: Three golden rules…1. Remove stains as soon as possible.
2. Protect the surface with a proven quality blocker such as Geist. Dye & Friction Blocker which is invisible and highly effective.
3. Don’t use household or ‘all-round’ cleaners.

Q: Why do some textiles discolour surfaces?

A: Because they often contain ‘unfixed’ dyes and ‘effect pigments’ on their surfaces.
