The Science:
Rustopper is powered by sodium nitrite, a proven corrosion inhibitor that works on multiple fronts:
- Forms a Protective Layer: It reacts with the metal surface to form a thin, stable film of ferric oxide (Fe₂O₃), creating a passive barrier that shields the steel from moisture and oxygen.
- Shifts Electrochemical Potential: By altering the metal’s electrochemical properties, it moves it into a “passive” zone where rust cannot easily form.
- Anodic Inhibition: Sodium nitrite targets the anodic sites where metal ions would normally dissolve, preventing the electrochemical reaction that leads to rust.
- The result is fast-drying, invisible protection that works immediately—without affecting paint, braking systems, or coated surfaces. Rustopper is acid-free, pH-neutral, and safe for use on modern performance bikes.

Directions:
- ⚠️ Avoid applying in direct sunlight or on hot components.
- Clean steel surfaces thoroughly and rinse with water.
- While the surfaces are still wet, spray Rustopper liberally over all exposed steel.
- Allow to air dry. Wipe off any excess from nearby surfaces if needed.
- Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from freezing.
