Water-Based High Gloss Coating with a Foolproof Application

CQUARTZ Aqua is an eco-friendly, water-based ceramic coating designed to deliver hydrophobic protection across almost all exterior vehicle surfaces. Formulated as a water-based minimal VOC coating, Aqua offers a safer, more environmentally conscious alternative to traditional solvent-based ceramic coatings.

Engineered to bond to nearly any exterior surface except glass, CQUARTZ Aqua provides water repellency, self-cleaning properties, UV protection, and chemical resistance with CARPRO expecting approximately 1 year of durability in this unique formula.

Unlike the flash you find with most coatings, the haze and wipe-off associated with CQUARTZ Aqua application is more akin to a liquid wax appearance. In other words, you get a very obvious and distinct visual cue to wipe off. One note of interest and importance is to remove not only the cap but also the drip plate beneath it before use. Aqua is thicker than traditional coatings and will not pour through the drip plate. Fortunately, it pops off with ease and can be tossed. In future batches CARPRO will exclude this unnecessary drip plate. 

Due to the minimal VOC content, Aqua applies without the sharp chemical odor or extensive ventilation requirements associated with traditional ceramic coatings. This makes it an excellent choice for detailers and enthusiasts who are more sensitive to chemicals and applying coatings in an enclosed bay or home garage.

• (5) 4"x4" suede microfiber applicators
• (1) CQUARTZ Applicator Block
• (5) CQUARTZ hologram stickers

Directions:

1. Ensure the surface is clean and fully decontaminated. Use CARPRO IronX, TarX, and clay the surface to ensure all contamination is removed.  

2. Polish beforehand if needed to remove defects. Use CARPRO Eraser to thoroughly degrease the surface before application. Ensure the surface is cool and dry. 

3. Remove the cap, remove the drip plate and dispense 3-4 lines of CQUARTZ Aqua onto the applicator. Spread evenly over 20 x 20 inch sections using a cross-hatch pattern until the area is covered.

4. Allow to dry to a white haze before gently buffing off with a clean microfiber towel to remove excess product and reveal a clear high gloss finish.

5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on all remaining panels.

6. Allow treated surfaces to cure for at least 30 minutes before exposure to water. Additional layers of CQUARTZ Aqua may be applied after 30 minutes.
